Why the Dandelion?

The humble dandelion is more than just my business name. It is a powerful symbol of the journey we take in life.

Dandelions grow in difficult places. They push up through cracks in concrete. They bloom in soil that has been walked over, overlooked or dismissed. Where other plants struggle, they find a way.

To me, that is resilience.

Their strength is not loud or showy. It is quiet, steady and determined. They adapt. They endure. They keep reaching for the light, even in harsh conditions.

These are the exact qualities I see in so many women, especially those in caring roles. Strong. Capable. Persistent. Always finding a way to keep going. And yet, so often, they cannot see that strength in themselves.

The dandelion also represents transformation.

It begins as a bright yellow bloom, vibrant and full. Then it changes. It softens into a delicate sphere of seeds. To some, that stage looks fragile. But it is actually powerful. When the wind comes, the seeds scatter. And in that moment of release, something new begins.

Change can feel messy. Letting go can feel uncertain. But transformation is not a breakdown. It is a natural part of growth.

The dandelion reminds us that even in hard places, we can grow. Even after exhaustion, we can rebuild. And even when life feels uncertain, new beginnings are always possible.

About Dandelion Growth Space

At Dandelion Growth Space, I support women who feel burnt out, overwhelmed and stretched beyond their limits. Women who spend their days caring for others, often putting themselves last.

This is a space for the helpers. The supporters. The women who have been holding everything together for everyone else. Here, you are allowed to pause. To breathe. To set the load down for a moment and begin refilling your own cup.

With over 18 years of experience in counselling and emotional wellbeing, alongside my own lived experience of burnout, I understand how quietly and gradually burnout takes hold. I have lived it myself, and I have seen it in the women around me.

I have worked alongside colleagues who were running on empty, pushing through exhaustion because that is what caring professionals do. I have supported many counselling clients in caring and support roles who were burnt out and trying to understand what was happening to them. Many believed they were failing or not coping well enough. In reality, their nervous systems had simply been under strain for far too long.

Through both my professional work and my own recovery, I have learned something important: burnout is not a quick fix. It is not solved by a weekend off, a bubble bath, or a better morning routine. Burnout recovery is more than self-care.

To truly heal and break the cycle, deeper work is required. It involves understanding what has been driving the overgiving. It involves nervous system regulation. It involves gently rebuilding identity, boundaries and daily patterns in a way that is sustainable.

Recovery takes intention, compassion and consistency. But it is absolutely possible.

My approach is compassionate, practical and down to earth. I focus on small, realistic steps that create real change over time. The goal is not to add more to your plate. It is to help you feel steadier, clearer and more in control of your life again.

At Dandelion Growth Space, I offer coaching and workshops designed to help women:

  • Understand what burnout truly is and how it impacts the nervous system, body and mind

  • Reconnect with themselves after years of prioritising everyone else

  • Regulate and support their nervous system so recovery feels safer and sustainable

  • Restore balance, energy and self-trust

  • Learn practical, everyday strategies to protect their wellbeing

You have spent long enough looking after everyone else.

Now it is your turn.

This is a space for rest, reflection, and renewal, a place where you can come back to yourself and remember that you matter too.

About Tamara

Women’s Burnout Coach

Dandelion is close to my heart. It grew from both my personal experience and my professional journey, and from a deep desire to help women truly live, not just cope.

For over 18 years, I have supported people through life's challenges, and along the way I began noticing a pattern. Burnout was everywhere. I saw it in colleagues and clients who were constantly running on empty, and eventually in myself.

Burnout does not happen because we are weak or incapable. It happens because we care deeply. Because we hold everything together. Because we love helping people. And because we keep going long after we are exhausted.

When I experienced burnout, I was juggling full-time work, study, raising kids, and managing a home. I kept telling myself I was fine and pushed through the tiredness, until my body and nervous system simply could not keep up.

One of my earliest warning signs is that I stop doing the things I love, the things that bring me joy and make me feel alive. I stop hiking. I stop nature photography. I stop planning trips and spending time in nature. The parts of me that feel most alive begin to quietly fade. That is when I know I am running on empty.

It is a telling sign of burnout when even the things we love most start to feel like too much effort.

That experience completely changed the way I understand burnout. I learned that caring for myself and having supportive routines is not optional, it is essential. And recovery is about far more than a few small tweaks. It requires understanding what is happening in your body, creating sustainable systems, and most importantly, supporting your nervous system so you can truly reset.

I created Dandelion Growth Space to offer the support, knowledge, and steady understanding that I needed when I was burnt out and trying to make sense of what was happening to me.

Now, I help women who are caring for everyone else while slowly depleting themselves. Together, we slow down, regulate the nervous system, and rebuild a life that feels calm, clear, and sustainable.

You do not have to do this alone. I am here to walk beside you as you find your way back to yourself.

I am excited to take this journey with you and reconnect you with YOU.
